Power your home with clean energy. Solar power systems derive clean, pure energy from the sun. Installing solar panels on your home helps combat greenhouse gas emissions and reduces our collective dependence on fossil fuel. Traditional electricity is sourced from fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas.
Renewable Energy Target
The renewable energy target (RET)is a legislated target which the Australian government had introduced in 2001. The RET is designed and put in place to ensure that Australia uses more renewable and reduces its emissions. The target is to ensure that renewable energy such as solar power and more achieves 20% contribution of electricity supply in Australia by 2020.
Small-Scale Renewable Energy Scheme
The Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES) has been designed to assists property owners with the upfront cost of purchasing small-scale renewable energy systems such as solar panel systems of up to 100kW. It entitles you to the right to create a set number of small-scale technology certificates (STCs) when you install an eligible system.
$0 Upfront On a Payment Plan
Electricity prices have increased sharply in the last decade by up to 63%. This only indicates that the prices with only continue to increase significantly over the next few years.
Because of the SRES, solar power is now a lot more affordable than what it was several years ago. You can now have solar fully installed on your roof and not have to put down a deposit for it on a payment plan. That’s right, you pay nothing upfront. Financing your solar system should not be complicated.
Solar Season offers flexible payment options with very low fortnightly repayments so that you can choose what’s right for you.

Call Us NowInstallation of PV panels: Photovoltaic (PV) panels are placed on your roof. If possible, the panels will be north facing, or north-east or north-west facing, so that they are able to capture the most energy possible.
Collection of sun’s rays: The solar panels on your roof collect the sun’s radiance during the day. They are made of silicon and only need the sun’s radiance to work, so even on a cloudy day they will still generate power – albeit with lower production than on clear days.
Conversion to DC power (panels): As the PV panels collect the sun’s rays, they convert them into Direct Current (DC) electricity.
Conversion to AC power (inverter): This DC power is then sent to an inverter which converts that DC power into Alternating Current (AC) electricity. The inverters we use are made by leading manufacturer Enasolar.
Power is sent into the home: The converted AC power is then fed into your home’s wiring system, where it will power your lights, appliances, or anything else that uses electricity in your home. (At night, the solar panels aren’t able to produce power, so you switch back to drawing power directly from the grid).
Credit for unused electricity: If you produce more power from your PV system than you are actually end up using in your home, the excess power is automatically fed back into the public grid, and you will be given a credit for that contributed electricity by your power company (not all power companies provide credit so it pays to shop around).
An export / import meter is installed by the power company to monitor how much is being imported or exported during the day so they know how much to charge you at the end of the month.
How To Pay For a Residential Solar System
Financing home solar doesn’t have to be complicated. Solar Season offers three flexible payment options, so you can choose what’s right for you. And, with $0 down solar financing, your solar savings can start with little to no upfront costs.

Call Us NowFeed-In Tariff
After your solar system is installed and fully operational, the energy that is generated is used in the household first before you draw energy from the grid. If your solar system have generated more electricity that you need, it is exported to the grid where you receive a payment for this energy from your electricity retailer.
The main benefit of the solar system is not visible on your electricity bill as this only shows the energy that has not been used. The financial benefit will come from using the electricity that you generate rather than focus on the feed-in tariffs.
Every year, the NSW Government asks the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) to determine a benchmark tariff for the remaining energy that is exported back to the grid. The price varies amongst all the energy retailers. All other aspects such as usage charges, feed-in tariffs, supply charges, late payment fees, discounts and early exit fees should be considered before making a decision from a retailer’s offer about the feed-in tariff.
Save Money And Help The Environment
You are generating and consuming your own energy when you have a solar system on your roof. This m means that even when the electricity retailers increase their prices, you are still using your own power and will not be as affected as you would be if you did not have solar at all. You also help the environment because he sun does not create pollution and is free compared to fossil fuels. Reduce your carbon emissions today while saving on your power bill.
